Australians all let us rejoice
I was born here from a long line of others who had before me and I embrace my country and rejoice today & every day!
For we are young and free
I may not be so young but my country is and thanks to those who’ve sacrificed and fought we are free to live to our own betterment within the community
With golden soil & wealth for toil
I wear Aussie gold on my finger mined by a digger and I’ve worked hard so the govt has the means to protect me in my infirmity
Our home is girt by sea
I am glad the sea surrounds & protects us! We are so healthy with no plagues or wars!
Our land abounds with natures gifts
I come alive when I get out into the nature of our wonderful country and to know that we can be perfectly self sufficient [provided we are water wise]
Of Beauty rich and rare
How can you not see the valuable rare native beauty surrounding us here?
In History’s page let every stage
So far our history has been colourful and in places needs some polishing but on the whole we’re succeeding
Advance Australia Fair
to improve & treasure our wonderful country
Beneath our radiant Southern Cross
I looked up last night and saw our cross ☼ and knew brilliance
We toil with hearts and hands
I love pitching in and pulling my weight
To make this common-wealth of ours
I try to help make our common values strong for the good of us all
Renown through all the lands
and I know our country is the best in the world!
For those who’ve come across the sea
I welcome those who come here seeking peace & happiness
We’ve boundless plains to share
Provided we take care of our precious water we have plenty of space & resources
With courage let us all unite
Let’s stick together and get it done right!
To advance Australia Fair!
& our beautiful home will prosper for all of us on this planet!
In Joyful strains then let us sing
At the top of my very melodious voice I will always cry my pride!
