Silent Witness
Discovered these amazing carvings located at St Patricks in Melbourne at each end of arched doorways. The detail was excellent and they looked like they were on duty. It would be great to hear what they would have seen over the years….

Gerry, I am always wondering about the sights these things will have seen over the years. Very good captures, nicely combined.
GerryMac replied
Thanks Roy! I have seen similar things before but usually they are really high up the side of buildings! These however were handy to get up close to….

mine is Mcainsh !!
GerryMac replied
LOL! I have been told that ‘Mc’ orginates from Ireland where ‘Mac’ is from Scotland…. (Although I was born in Scotland!)

I am Scottish born too . I have never been sure of the Mc Mac origins as my maiden name was Mccall and we can trace dad’s family right back and always been Scottish. !
