I was born in England and migrated to Australia in 1980. I have had a life long interest in art since I was a child, when I used to draw pictures of my family and friends. I worked as a successful artist in the mid eighties as well as a model. I have always been interested in photography and in 2003 I completed a diploma in professional photography with the New York Institute of Photography. I particularly like taking ‘street photos’, as it requires you to be not only very observant but also is challenging. Recently I have begun to explore how photos can bring out a certain emotion or memory and I particularly like the play of light and shadows on objects and the natural phenomenon of clouds, reflections, etc. I love producing a photo that people can enjoy or associate a fleeting memory with and to that part more and more of my work is creating montages that can tell a story without words….
