For all of my adult life until about 8 years ago, I was solely a 3-weeks a year vacation point and shooter. Then I had the great good luck to win a small digital camera and got well and truly hooked on digital photography. In the past 8 years, I’ve won well over a 1,000 Photo of the Day awards at various online sites including Digital Image Cafe, Shutterbugs and PhotoShowDown, and a number of BOC and POTM awards at some of the sites. I’ve also won a Gold Medal for Best Contemporary Print in the 113th Annual Toronto Camera Club International Salon, a Bronze medal in the Open Digital Colour section of this year’s PSA Exhibition and many awards in local and regional camera club competitions. My current main camera is the Nikon D90, and my backup DSLR is a Nikon D60 that I recently purchased. I also own and sometimes use Panasonic Lumix FZ18 and a little Sony DSC-H3. While I especially love travel photography and architectural and street photography, essentially I just love to photograph everything that moves and everything that doesn’t!
