Evidence outside the main church of Cao Dai that prayer time is well and truly underway. Dao Cai Dai is a convergence of Christianity, Buddhism, Taosim and Confucianism and is Vietnam’s third largest religon. The community comes alive at midday when the church bell tolls; summoning the masses for prayer. The colours of the robes, the Church and it’s altar are symbolic of the unison of all four faith’s. Whilst I don’t intentionally photograph images with the objective of conveying a deeper message; this shot spoke for itself. As a young girl, I was often told to remove my shoes and any headwear when entering a house as a guest. In this case, the church of -Dao Cao Dai(the supreme place where God reigns), one enters as a guest, with bare feet and an open mind.
In May 2013, I made a career decision to take a step back from photography and put my energy into a commercial arts qualification (Graphic Design). Commercial Arts Training College – CATC Melbourne place emphasis on industry ready training and development. By the end of my training I hope to specialise in the areas of Branding, Illustration and Communication Design. View Full Profile
