I studied painting at Loughborough University graduating with a BA (hons) Fine Art degree in 2005.

So! A little about my paintings…
The initial inspiration for my work comes from the sky; the vastness of it, its cloud formations, rolling and ever changing; the brief bursts of colour at dawn and dusk and the way it makes me feel when I’m outside walking in the elements. I love it.
I don’t paint in a photo-realistic style because my works are not simply ‘paintings of the sky’ – there’s more to them than that. I paint in a very expressive, spontaneous manner, both in terms of the colours I use and the impulsive, gestural mark-making & hidden text incorporated in the work.
When I’m not painting I spend time making books, drawing and, more recently, printmaking.
