The Sound of Procrastination

Intermittently humming fan
gentle trickling of aquarium water
a careful, measured step
approaching
stopping
jangling keys

The key located
rammed home in the lock
doorknob turns
door opens
(across the way)
this one still shut

Time is bought
more silence
to write

Or not

The Sound of Procrastination by

Photography for me is a way of trying to make sense of the world, or at least to slow down and look at things a little more closely.
