Collins St, Melbourne.
Probably rather obscure title inspired by a line from A Visit from St. Nicholas also known as The Night Before Christmas.
street, black and white, georgie hart, footpath, walking, butterflies
Photography for me is a way of trying to make sense of the world, or at least to slow down and look at things a little more closely.
Oh No the title is brillant and love how you have captured this Georgie. it makes me think of each butterfly as a wish or dream. : )
Thank you Karen, very glad to hear how it strikes you!
– Georgie Hart

Wonderful, lovely tones! and my daughters fave poem!
thanks Berns, tis a rather fun poem eh :)
Such an unexpected serendipity exploited to the full by your timing and literary association. Love it Georgie.
Thanks Rhoufi, I missed it for a while (wanted to capture her walking into space from the right and was expecting to discard this one when looking at the thumbnail) but the butterflies lead me to see a story here!
Hey Georgie, this is really cool!! Well spotted, and well captured. Would you consider please adding this to ‘in the Shadows’? We’d love to have it in there :)) Hope you’re well. Di
Thanks Di, I’d love to. All well here, hope you’re well too. :)
Splendid capture Georgie!!! Did you wait around for it or arrive at just the right moment? The title is inspired too!! :) Excellent work!!!
I saw her coming and snapped a few pics, was lucky with the butterfly positioning in relation to her at this instant though!
Amazing! What a great title, it tells such a story
Thanks heaps Parmi, I’m glad I went B&W as I don’t think there was much of a story in the original colour.
just beautiful all round.
thanks so much for your kind words Lou :)
