I pulled the car up in a hurry when I saw these golden grasses swaying in the late evening light in Drummond.
When the old farmer who owned the paddock swung by and stopped to check if my car had broken down, the puzzlement on his face was priceless as I explained why I was leaning across the barbed wire fence and pointing my camera at his ‘empty’ field.

georgie, glad you took the farmer on to get this one. Just terrific!! I find people in my own family will do/say the same thing when I have camera in hand. Oh well….. phil
I guess when you’ve walked past something so many times that you don’t really see it it’s hard to understand why someone else might find it remarkable. Thanks for dropping in Phil, glad this one appeals.
Oh dear, yes I think that would have been beyond the realms of old Eddie’s understanding, Georgie…but what a lovely result anyway…!
I think he was considering calling the men with the padded cells and straitjackets but he left me at it, with a parting warning to watch out for snakes.

Beautiful, yet very dramatic.
Thank you Wojciech, I hope it’s not too dramatic.
