I thought my luck had run out – I returned to the spot I first sighted the rainbow, with my camera, and it was gone! I was exceptionally lucky to find it when I went out in my car, particularly in this position with the rest of nature posing too.

Too true…and getting lost with a camera or exploring somewhere you never intended can be gold also!

Aww thanks but I sure don’t have that much patience! I figured I’d missed the rainbow for the day, but decided to go out to get country shots in the evening light. Lo and behold I found the rainbow again! When the magpies flew across it…I knew there was a big chance I’d taken one of my favourite photos yet!

Thanks for stopping by Cherax, I can see where you’re coming from regarding the tree. I think my first instinct was to see it as ‘clutter’, but I quickly learned to love it as adding something to the scene, including a starting point for the birds.

Nope, no gold or leprechaun for me, just the beautiful rainbow! I guess I did get my wish though, in finding the rainbow again after it disappeared from the end of the street!
