Shot in the Heart of Melbourne Exhibition – coming this month!

.

Melburnians and visitors to our city might be interested in checking out the group street photography exhibition I’m taking part in this winter. Join us at the Victorian Artists Society between 7 and 9pm on opening night, Friday June 22nd, or between 10am and 4pm on weekdays between then and July 2nd (you can also drop in on weekends between 1 and 4pm).

Hi there. I’m Georgie, or G, and I’m easily distracted by strange details, seductive lines and shapely objects in the world at large. Oh and colours, shadows, rich or unusual light, fascinating characters, creatures, natural features… the list goes on. Along with eyeing off stuff that might make an interesting photo I rather enjoy playing with words.

I photograph anything that catches my eye, generally leaning towards the outdoors and the natural world, but I’ve been finding street photography and abstract views of Melbourne more and more absorbing of late. I use both a Nikon D7000 and Lumix TZ11.

To view my images against a black background, check out my bubblesite.

My mother has been similarly inspired by RB and her wonderful work is here.
