One of our beautiful native marsupials munching on lunch at one of my fave native animal parks. It’s called Urimburra and it’s just outside of Victor Harbor, South Australia. All the animals are very happy and well loved at Urimburra. Its a pleasure to visit and talk to them all. I talk to the people who look after them as well… they’re really nice too!

aw, what a little darling georgiegirl,
    well taken! great closeup!

  • Thanks so much Karin :D That’s a wonderful thing about these types of native parks… we get to be close up to talk to them (and in the case of koalas, give them lots of cuddles!). They really are well cared for animals.

Nice shot! Georgie,i must put Urimburra on my “places to go” list.

  • Thanks Lance. It’s definitely a place you should go. I thought you had. I’m sure you once had a pair of owls that look just like the ones they have!

Just like these two but sitting closely together, posing beautifully.

Ah, you’ve managed to get a Koala in action too! They don’t move around much unless it’s feedtime, or mating time, do they. Well done.

  • Thanks again Elaine! No they don’t move much. But I’ve seen them move pretty quick when they want to! Like you said… when its feeding, mating or escaping!! I love them anyway :D

I just want to huggle him!!!!!

  • I did!!!!! He was so gorgeously soft and cuddly. He didn’t take too much notice of me, he was busy eating! Priorities… food or hug human… tough choice!!!

This is a great park, the series shows it off well and hopefully more will visit.

  • Absolutely… its a wonderful park. Everyone should visit and chat to/see the happy, content animals for themselves!!! Thanks so much for the comment :D
