Peacock in Underpants
Another one from Urimburra at Victor Harbor. This peacock was so funny! He was trying to show off to the peahens but the wind was a bit breezy. So he was trying to walk backwards against the wind so his gorgeous feathers didn’t get too ruffled. Poor little guy, he was doing his best!! The girls were just watching him (as we were) and laughing at his antics. Fancy parading around in your underpants they would have been saying to each other. He’s meant to be showing off his pretty colours!!!
I expect he eventually showed his feathers off, when we saw him again he had one girl and was stutting around proudly!!

Isn’t it!!!! His feathers were the most beautiful metallic blue too. I’ll have to upload his portrait. I know there’s heaps of peacock photos around, but one more isn’t going to hurt!

Thanks Elaine, and at least he’s trying!!! Some blokes just wouldn’t bother cos its too hard against the wind… they would just go watch the cricket!!! ;D

He did eventually… when we saw him again the wind had calmed down, making it a tad easier to show off his glorious feathers! The right way round :D
