Our local beach is home to scores of gulls and it is great fun to sit and watch their antics.
Taken at Yanchep Lagoon beach on the Indian Ocean some 55 kms north of Perth, Western Australia I was using my Sony A77 with 16-80 Zeiss lens on almost full zoom, shutter priority set for about 1/1000th second. nd8 filter attached.

An excellent capture. I too love watching the gulls when I’m in Albany. Good to see that you are being spoiled in your new home. Both my Mum and Dad were in aged care in Mount Barker and they too were well looked after.

  • Hi Eve and very many thanks. I, too, love watching the gulls down at Emu Point and have got some wonderful photos of them over the years. I’m quite enjoying living here and have already found myself acting as resident reporter and photographer for the monthly newsletter, plus photographic recorder of all the many activities that take place here – so it’s a busy life which is just what I need to keep my mind active!

I spent time yesterday trying to capture such a shot! Beautifully done!

  • Thanks Kay. There are so many gulls around here that one can’t really go wrong with a camera!
