A place that seldom gets visited due to it’s isolation on the extreme south coast of south Western Australia within the bounds of the D’Entrecasteaux National Park. There are absolutely no facilities here at all yet CALM (Conservation and Land Management) have built some wonderful sealed roads and lookouts at nearby Point D’Entrecasteaux. This doesn’t alter the fact that it is some 35 kms off the main Manjimup to Albany road at Northcliffe. Normally it ibears the brunt of the Southern Ocean as it pounds our shores and seldom escapes a mention in our weather reports. I love the place and go out of my way to get here as often as possible.
Photo taken with my Sony DSC R1 with it’s fixed 16-80 Carl Zeiss lens. I was in aperture priority mode and had an ND4 filter over the lens.
