We were under sail in a lovely catamarran on the calm waters of Shark Bay, off Monkey Mia on the central west coast of Western Australia. Dolphins galore came out to see us and the people on the other side of the boat were also lucky enough to see a couple of dugongs.

This is lovely Peter – aren’t they just beautiful to watch. When we lived at Gt. Barrier we used to watch them come into the bay chased by Orca’s !

  • Very many thanks Roy. There are scores of big fish calling this bay home but we only saw these dolphins that afternoon.

    CONGRATULATIONS – FEATURED 20th SEPT ’12

  • WOW Michelle, what a thrill! Very many thanks indeed. Monkey Mia has changed so much in recent years – there was hardly anything there when I first visited many years ago but now there’s good accommodation, great restaurant and even a shop!
    Take caree
    Peter
