Two weeks ago I was lucky enough to make a return visit to Broome which bounds the Indian Ocean in the far north west of Western Australia. It was to be the starting point for a wonderful 12 day coach tour of our our state’s magnificent Pilbara region. On Day 1 we were met at the airport and taken on a town tour and I was delighted when I realised we were heading straight for Gantheaume Point, of which I had such fond memories from my trip of two years ago.
Broome is actually in the Kimberley region and during the course of the trip we also covered the Gascoigne and the Coral Coast regions. So we saw a lot, most of which was new to me.
