Beautiful Tasmania - The Cartela by

100 years old, which means she was built in the same year as the Titanic, but has an infinitely better track record as she has been in more or less constant service as a cruise boat and also a passenger ferry for almost all of that time. She operates from Elizabeth Pier, one of Hobart’s principal docks, which is where I took this shot early one grey morning.

What a great elderly lady she is Peter – yes, add another three funnels and you could have a small ’ Titanic !’ Lovely picture.

  • I thought it might interest you Roy! She is quite an institution around Hobart. Many thanks old friend.
