I was delighted to be able to spend a couple of hours with Mark (tinnieopener on RB) who very kindly drove me up to Dove Lake (in the Cradle Mountain Lake St Clair National Park) as dusk was approaching and then led me to a wonderful photo location where he promptly set up his tripod and brand new camera whilst I stood around gazing admiringly at all his kit.
And then a miracle happened! It had been a glorious day with clear skies all the time. Suddenly, right on cue, a few clouds started to appear and these provided a perfect back drop and sun reflector for our photos. I took this one from a different location (there were other photographers there hogging all the best viewpoints!)
For this shot I was using my Sony A55V, 16-80 Carl Zeiss lens, nd8 filter, manual control (f4 @ 1/30th for this one)
Thanks Mark – it was a great couple of hours – and we even got to see a couple of baby wombats for good measure!!
