Passing the time of day by

A galah calls in to our Western Australian garden for a daily chat with a garden gnome. They’ve become good friends and get on very well with each other!

They sure do…they come to my Garden and I feed them seeds I may aswell call them my Pets!

  • Thanks Mel. I used to put seed out for them but they are such messy eaters and scattered the seed everywhere, with the result it all took root and before I knew it I had a garden full of weeds!

Hi Peter, Great shot love your story and the Galahs a beautiful bird, so different from your normal work nature picture! I love it well done my friend. LOL
    Cheers for now. Mike

  • Thanks Mike. As you know, galahs are everywhere in our state and they can be very comical at times. It was just sheer luck that I happened to be up the garden with a camera that morning!
    Cheers

Peter, that’s a great shot ! Galas must be as cheeky as our Kaka’s – birds of the parrot family
who squawk, get drunk on Pohutkawa flowers and fall out of trees – hilarious….lol !

  • Very many thanks Roy. I love the sound of your Kakas and can imagine the fun and delight they would give you. Being true dinkum Aussies our birds don’t get drunk, of course, but in most other respects they seem quite similar! LOL
    Cheers mate
