This is the end of a 400 metre long sandy track leading from the car park to Salmon Beach which is in the D’Entrecasteaux National Park near Windy Harbour, some 400 kms south of Perth, Western Australia. This is one of only two access points to this 120 kms long beach for conventional drive vehicles. There are two areas where 4WD vehicles can get to it (one of these is over steep sand dunes) plus another place that can only be accessed by a 15 kms cruise down the Donnelly River.
I love coming down here to this spot and invariably I am the only person on the beach where it is magical to stand and watch the Southern Ocean pounding in.
Sony Alpha A55 camera with 16-80 Carl Zeiss lens and a neutral density x8 filter attached. I was in aperture priority and was hand holding the camera
