HDR has really brought this scene to life and it is now quite literally as it was in real life and spotted as we were cruising the wonderful Katherine Gorge in the Nitmiluk National Park in Australia’s Northern Territory. It is one photo, of course, but given three exposure settings ( +2, 0, -2) in Dynamic Photo HDR. Beyond making a very slight levels adjustment no further editing was done.
Camera was my Sony R1 in aperture priority (f11) and with an nd4 filter attached to the Zeiss 24-120 lens. The time was around 9.30 am on May 11th 2010 and I was hand holding the camera while the boat cruised slowly and smoothly along the river.
