Another wonderful view of the Buccaneer Archipelagoby georgieboy98
Yet another scene as viewed through the window of the seaplane in which I was a passenger flying from Talbot Bay down to Broome, in the far north west of Western Australia – the tropical west Kimberley. (Can you see the plane’s shadow?) Buccaneer Archipelago comprises almost exactly 1000 islands, all of which are uninhabited and several of which are completely covered at high tide. Sony DSC R1, shutter priority at 1/200th
Good morning Dawn and very many thanks. My camera was permanently pointing out of the window on that flight and all I did was click the button every few seconds! Hugs Peter
Absolutely magnificent scenery Peter … ooh & that tiny little silhouette of the plane .. it does show the magnitude of this place
Good morning Bev and many thanks for this lovely comment. The whole area is vast and this was the only way to see it. You CAN do ultra expensive cruises of the region – which would be great – but even then I don’t think you would get the true picture of what it’s like. It was a once in a lifetime trip, for sure. Take care and thanks again Peter
Aw Evita, you’ve done it again with another fave! Bless you for that and very many thanks for such a wonderful comment. If ever you get the chance that is a wonderful part of our country to visit, Hugs Peter
Hi Peter, you have done it again taken my breath away, such a beautiful shot what a wonderful place you live in.
Best Regards, Mike
Thanks Mike. Pity you weren’t able to get up here when you were in WA 3 years ago – but then who am I to talk? It’s taken me 40 years to do it! LOL Regards Peter
