A wonderful view of the Buccaneer Archipelagoby georgieboy98
Less than 5 minutes after taking off from Talbot Bay and the Horizontal Falls we started to overfly scenery like this as we crossed the Buccaneer Archipelago in the tropical far north west of Western Australia – otherwise known as the West Kimberley. I should add that the people on the other side of the seaplane were getting equally fabulous views for their cameras. This was the height at which we flew almost the entire hour and a half back to Broome and it was hard to believe that we were in the same world as that which we had left earlier that morning. Sony DSC R1, shutter priority at 1/200th, ISO 400, nd4 filter attached.
Hi Hillie and very many thanks. It was like this all across the archipelago and a lot of the way down the Dampier Peninsula after we had passed Cape Leveque. Take care Peter
A wonderful view for sure. Just to let you know that school has broken up for the summer and I leave for Italy on Tuesday. Shall be gone for almost 3 weeks. Hope to return with photos good enough to put on RB. Take care Peter…
Thanks Jayne, also for letting me know that you’re off to Italy AGAIN!!! LOL As ALL your photos are more than good enough for RB I am really looking forward to seeing the results of this coming trip. Have a great time and take care. Peter
Well Peter, yet again you have taken my breath away, what a wonderful picture I do envy you some many beautiful scenes to photo, your picture album would be like an Aladdin’s cave for me. very well done my dear friend.
Very many thanks Mike. It took my breath away, too, I don’t mind telling you! Especially as the view seemed to go on and on for ever as our flight progressed. You won’t have to twist my arm for me to upload another one or two from this flight in a few days time. regards Peter
