The majestic beauty of Nornalup Inlet by

Returning from the (almost) inaccessible beach I finally reached the steps that would lead me down to the boat and, hopefully, a very welcome cup of tea! For once I lifted my eyes from scouring the ground ahead and was instantly totally captivated by the magic of this scene.
There are several similar inlets along the Southern Ocean coast of Western Australia. Most, like this, provide an outlet for two rivers but in fact three rivers drain into this inlet – the Frankland (up which we had cruised the previous day) the Walpole and the Deep Rivers. It is hardly surprising that more and more people are stopping off at Walpole for a few days of very rewarding exploration.

Love this place too and you’ve done it great justice with this lovely shot, Peter. xx

  • Many thanks Anne-Marie. The cruise alone is a wonderful way of spending a morning but the visit to Shelley Beach was a fabulous plus – although I very much doubt if I would do that again! Hugs, Peter

You certainly visit some inaccessible places and I am glad you do – a lovely shot again.

  • Thanks very much Mik. It’s a strange fact that so many of our most beautiful places are difficult, if not impossible, to get to. It makes me wonder how much else there is still waiting to be discovered. Take care, Peter
