They will argue among themselvcs, but usually only with their life partner. These two were disputing the right to have the largest piece of seed. These birds have visited our garden on a daily basis for several years – they must like the seed I put out!
I have never seen pink and white birds. They are so beautiful. You are so lucky to see such things. A wonderful picture, Peter. xoxo
These are daily visitors to our garden and at times there are over 20 of them scratching around for seed. Suddenly they will all take off as one in a panic, only to return in ones and twos a couple of minutes later!
What a pretty birds Peter,it is the first time I see pink/white coloured birds.A great capture my friend, regards, Henri.
Many thanks Henri and it’s good to have a visit from you again. We have been getting a daily visit from these birds for about 10 years now and they know us and our cameras quite well, with the result I can get surprisingly close to them for photos. Peter
Certainly looks like they are squaring up for a quarrel Peter, a delightful image and such a wonderful moment, you get some of the most colourful birds in your garden and I am referring to the feathered variety,LOL., Regards, Rod.
20 years ago we used to get the other variety also – I cannot imagine why things have changed!! LOL Many thanks for the visit and the kind words – I’ve lost count of the number of photos of these I have taken over the years. All the best, Peter
Sounds just like my kids fighting over cake:-) Lovely. Don.
Mine too! These two had been niggling at each other for quite a while before I thought to get the camera out! Peter btw I just posted the plaques. Not very good as it was rotten light in there and I hated having to use the flash because I knew it would rebound.

Thanks a lot Pauline. They are fun to watch, especially when they’re in a playful mood OR when they are squabbling!
