Approaching Monastery Landing by

We were on a morning cruise up the Frankland River in the south of Western Australia. The cruise starts at Walpole and cuts across the Nornalup inlet before entering the river at Nornalup and heading upstream for a few miles, stopping at Monastery Landing for morning tea before heading back down. This area was gazetted as National Park in the spring of 1910 and is also an area of outstanding natural beauty.
Walpole is between Albany and Manjimup, approximately 425 kms south of Perth and is home to world famous Treetop walk in the Valley of the Giants.
Now then – who can pick out the jetty to which we are headed?

This is a beautiful, warm image – very much 3D in its effect. Unless you are headed towards a jetty that we can’t see, then this one is pretty easy.

I’m off now to watch The Bill so catch up with you tomorrow all being well.

Oh blimey Peter .. I have been to the tree walk and afraid of heights I spent many happy moments with the rescued Kangaroo’s there so I had a ball! But as to which jetty?? no idea .. it is a wonderfully serene image though & quite rightly even as far back as 1910 made into a Nat Park!! Well done! Hugs, Tai

  • Many thanks Tainia. It’s a beautiful area that we can’t get enough of. Hugs, Peter

It must be a wonderful way to see the river and it’s adjoining dense greenery Peter, it all looks so natural and untouched by mankind, nice warm light, a wonderful range of green colour tones and the reflections on the still water are beautiful, well captured,
    Regards, Rod.

  • Thanks very much Rod. The trip lasted about three and a half hours and was wonderful. Great scenery and very relaxing and peaceful.
