Evening light at Rivermouth
Hard to believe from this photo but we are at one of the top surfing locations in the south of Western Australia – a leg of the world surfing tour is held here, but not at the time of year I took this! We were having a few days holiday with our son and his wife in Margaret River back in March and were staying just a few minutes away from this spot. It was actually chock full of people but they were all behind me and looking the other way.
It was early evening and the light was just perfect for photography and i took full advantage of it!

The colours here are something else Peter. Beautiful tones and the ocean looks so clear and sharp. Well shot.

Thanks very much Elaine. It’s a great spot to get action shots of surfing but you really need a very long lens because those guys go out quite a long way. This was a perfect evening and although we stayed to watch the sun go down it was not a sunset to get excited about.

This is glorious Peter! You can tell without the title what time of day you captured it. Beautiful time of the day as is the image!! Hugs, Tai x

Many thanks Tainia. Andrew (our son) and myself were out here early the next morning to get some shots in THAT light. Quite interesting as there WAS a difference. I’ll upload one in a day or two. Hugs

Thanks very much Pauline. This is down in our state’s south west about 350 kms from where we live. It’s an area we visit frequently (and not JUST for the wineries either!! LOL)

I love the pink hues of the skies and yet the turquoise of the indian ocean still shines through! Wonderful colours, Peter!
