Dangar Falls
Whenever we were up in the Dorrigo area of New South Wales, Dangar Falls was always a stopping off spot for us. As falls go they are not particularly high but are nonetheless very attractive and highly photogenic!
This was taken in 1987 as a transparency on my Nikon F3 and has scrubbed up quite well I think!
Dangar Falls belongs to the following groups:
Australia! You're Standing In it...., Australian Landmarks and Icons, Live and Let Live, Nature's Wonders, New South Wales Photography, Scenery and Waterfall Photography Available for sale asGreeting Cards, Laminated Prints and Framed Prints

My word you’re quick on the trigger tonight! LOL Many thanks Adrian – it’s in a part of the world I have always had a very soft spot for. Regards, Peter

Thats beautiful Peter… xx

Very many thanks Sue. It was a real treat to see and photograph, especial.ly as we don’t have all that many waterfalls down in the south of WA! Peter

What a coincidence! I was just looking at our photos of these particular falls to see which one to upload but thought I’d leave it till tomorrow! :)
You have captured this image beautifully, Peter! You must have been leaning out over that little lookout to get such a great shot! Super!
georgieboy98 replied
Ha! Beat you to it did I? LOL I’ve only been sitting on it for 24 years too! Thanks for the lovely words – do you know I can’t for the life of me remember my viewpoint now and yet we visited there several times both in ‘83 and in ‘87. I’m now looking forward to seeing yours. Take care, Peter

Awesome place, great capture!
georgieboy98 replied
Very many thanks Daniel. Was half hoping we might have got up your way this week to see the wildflowers on Mt Leseur but unfortunately have had to change our plans. All the best, Peter

Thanks very much and great to have a visit from you. This place is across the other side of Australia from us and is a part of the Great Dividing Range that runs the whole length of the country. Best wishes, Peter

An instant FAV for me Peter, this is such a stunning capture. Love it. Don.
georgieboy98 replied
Thank you very much Don, both for the kind words and also the fave. There are some great scenes over that side of our country and I still have high hopes of getting over that way again some time. Regards, Peter

Beautiful .no wonder everyone was telling me to move there a few years back
georgieboy98 replied
Hi Amanda and very many thanks. It’s a beautiful part of your state, for sure and just the part of getting up there is pretty darn good too. Take care, Peter
Clare Colins
Nice shot of Dangar Falls. I used to live so close to them, I could hear them at night. Well done:)
georgieboy98 replied
Very many thanks Clare. I bet you were so used to the noise that you really missed it for a while after you moved away. We were really rapt in the waterfalls over there – don’t have too many in WA!. All best wishes, Peter
Evita
♥ Beautiful image Peter !! :D ♥
georgieboy98 replied
Thanks very much Evita, There was just so much to see and photograph in NSW during the two years we were working over there – and also the two occasions when we flew over for short holidays. It is for sure a very beautiful state. Take care. Peter

I went to the bottom today peter to get a different look at these famous falls. I now live about 500mts further away :)

That’s something I never did – am looking forward to seeing your photos.

A fabulous spot, Peter. All that power!
georgieboy98 replied
Hi Hillie and very many thanks for the visit and comment. For sheer power the falls at the back of Surfers take some beating – Springbrook, Twin Falls etc. Are there any up your way? I can’t remember any but then we were only in Toowoomba for 4 or 5 days. Take care, Peter
Sharon Mau
Aloha Peter, how did you resize it to enlarge the image once you had digitized it? It is a lovely waterfall.
georgieboy98 replied
Hi Sharon and thanks for the visit. I scanned it on a dedicated 5mp slide scanner and enlarged it using Free Transform.(ctrl+T) I didn’t actually have to enlarge it all that much – the Show Public View in RB ups it a bit. Hugs
Mark McClare
Great shot, almost thought it was an aerial view until I saw the grass in the foreground
georgieboy98 replied
Very many thanks Mark. I took many hundreds of slides when we were working over that side of the country and am now having a ball scanning them all into my PC. Regards, Peter
