Smith's Beach
I am standing in the Leeuwin Naturaliste National Park and this is the popular view from the car park cum scenic lookout as you descend the hill into Yallingup. In the extreme distance can be seen Canal Rocks and if you look VERY closely you can just make out the green roof of the resort at which we were staying, almost IN the Indian Ocean!
Smith’s Beach is something like 350 kms south of Perth, Western Australia and this photo was taken during our visit in the spring of last year – early November to be precise. As was so often the case we were quite amazed at how much colour there was almost at the water’s edge.
This was taken with my Sony alpha 350 dslr using the 18-70 Sony kit lens.

Very nice view, good shot, did you know the lighthouse surrounds and around Bunkers bay just got burnt? Two days ago. Bad news!
