Redgate Beach

Redgate Beach

The road down to Redgate Beach is missed by the vast majority of people travelling along Caves Road. Admittedly the sign is not all that brilliant and most people have probably just visited Prevelly and Gnarabup and are now anxious to get to Augusta. This is a shame, especially during spring when wildflower hunters will be ecstatic with what they can find along the side of the road.

Fabulous spot. There’s just a short walk along a sandy path to get to the steps that take you right on to the beach. Thanks for the comment. Peter

awesome photo Peter i must admit i’ve never been there and i have lived in the area for 20 years

We’d been going down almost every year for 30+ years before we discovered it – and that was quite by chance because I happened to see something in the paper about the wildflowers down Redgate Beach Road. So I contacted Margaret River Visitor Centre and they told me about it! So you’re not the only one! Thanks Carol. Peter

Nice scene Peter. Loved this beach when I went down South. There was no one there when I visited. John

Unusual to have it completely to yourself but it’s a hard place to leave. I spent a long time on the rocks looking down on the beach because there’s just so many photo ops from there. Regards, Peter

A fantastic beach and wonderful shot .

Thank you Irene. I dare say one day this will be surrounded by high rise apartments, hotels etc but probably not for another 2 or 3 generations at least. Peter

Redgate Beach is very pretty Peter, you always show us so much beauty from the land down under…:) The incoming waves are lovely captured and the contrast between the rocks and water is great! Best regards, Henri.

This is another beauty, would just love to join there right about now Peter…our lakes are only good for ice fishing.

  • georgieboy98 replied

Thanks Larry. It’s one of our favourite places and is getting close to where the Indian Ocean meets the Southern Ocean, so it CAN get very rough at times – but I’ve never seen it any different from this! LOL Peter
