Stunning image and scenery. I love the tones also. Great work Peter, hope you had a great Christmas and wishing you a Safe and Happy New Year too!!!!

Patricia! Lovely to see you again and I hope that your Christmas, too, was a very enjoyable one. At least we had a mild day for a change – the last two Christmas Days have been around 40C which is a bit over the top! Thanks for dropping in and for the lovely words – that is a beautiful part of our south west coast. All best wishes for 2009, Peter

Warren Williams
Like this scene, you have captured the movement of the water so well, also like the tones.
georgieboy98 replied
Good to see you again Warren and compliments of the season mate. Thanks for the visit and kind words. This is one of those places where there’s always something going on that’s worth photographing. Regards, Peter
Jan Richardson
What a magical spot, Peter, captured beautifully! I’d want to spend hours there, just watching the water.
georgieboy98
Hiya Jan and very many thanks. A lot of people, ourselves included, do just that – we lean on that bridge and watch the water! Gets a bit mesmerising after a while, too! All best wishes, Peter
Lori Peters
Lovely composition and colors. Nice work, Peter. xo
georgieboy98 replied
Thanks very much Lori and this is one of our favourite spots that we have visited at least once a year for the last 35 years. In the early days the boardwalk and bridge didn’t exist so we had to scramble over the rocks and then across a rickety old wooden plank to get to where I was standing to take this photo! Hugs

Such rugged beauty- excellent capture Peter!!! x

Glad you like it Pauline and thanks heaps for coming across to see it! Hope it wasn’t too windy for you!! LOL Did you have a nice Christmas? Peter
Tainia Finlay
Your a great ambassador for the beauty of WA Peter, this is stunning! Hugs, Tai x
georgieboy98 replied
Thanks very much Tainia. You and I seem to hunt out the same kind of scenery wherever we go. When we were travelling a lot back in the 80’s our first port of call in a new area was always the local Tourist Bureau, both to get maps and to pick the brains of the people working there. Then, for several years (when we were doing school photography) I was also a photo journalist for a couple of Australia wide travel magazines (Caravan World was one of them). Now I can’t help myself – it’s in my blood!! LOL Hugs, Peter

gee building the boardwalk would have been an OH&S nightmare! Love the swirling you have captured in the waves.
georgieboy98 replied
It was a job and a half, for sure. Previously only fishermen were brave (or foolhardy) enough to scramble over the rocks and then dare to cross the very shaky single wooden plank that served as the bridge across the swirling water. Over the years several were swept off the rocks by unexpected king waves and never seen again, so it was not a place for the faint hearted.
With regard to photographing waves I have never been one for making the water look milky and (to my eyes) unnatural. I prefer to picture flowing water as I see it, with plenty of obvious movement. Many thanks for looking in and for the interest. Peter
Carol Barona
Wow, so beautiful.
georgieboy98 replied
Very many thanks Carol. Nice of you to say so. Peter
Wanda Raines
What a very beautiful capture. Like the texture of the rocks and the movement of the water is so clear and vivid. The walking bridge on the rocks is great.
georgieboy98 replied
Many thanks Wanda. We were visiting this area long before the boardwalk and bridge were built and it was VERY spectacular then! Peter
Irene Burdell
Another fabulous capture Peter , looks like it can get a bit choppy around there .
georgieboy98 replied
Thanks very much Irene. It’s a highly dangerous stretch of coast with king waves occurring unexpectedly. Many an unwary fisherman has been swept off the rocks and drowned.

Incredible capture my friend Peter, just love those monstrous waves…All the best to you and yours in 2009
