Cockatoo Trail
We did a walk in our local Yanchep National Park yesterday (Sunday) afternoon, basically to see what, if any, damage had been caused by the previous day’s storm. Happy to say that the park escaped relatively unscathed and this is typical of the scenes that confronted us as we continued along one of the walk trails. Yanchep is 50 kms north of Perth, Western Australia and the national park is one of the first to be gazetted in the state. I should add that we are now just past the middle of our winter
.
Cockatoo Trail belongs to the following groups:
Everything Winter, Happy Haven, Landscape Photography, National Parks of the World, Perth, UK to Australia and Back and WA Red BubblesAvailable for sale as Cards, Laminated Prints and Framed Prints

Thanks very much Gwenda. It’s great to see all the wattle in full bloom – makes you realise that spring isn’t all that far off now. Peter

Great shot Peter! Fantastic colours.
Your Cockatoo trail looks wonderful and very far removed form the pigeon trail across the top of my car! ;) Tony.

Thanks very much Pauline. That’s exactly how it was – in fact most of that trail is much the same. Peter

Another two or three weeks and there should be a mass of wildflowers starting to come out in the surrounding bush so we are looking forward to that. very many thanks for looking and commenting so nicely. Hugs, Peter.

It sure was a cracker! One of the huge old Christmas Trees at the corner of Yanchep Bea h and Wanneroo Roads was blown down I noticed – shame about that because it was a feast of colour when in full bloom. Peter

Goodonya Wayne – the bush is starting to look good now and another couple of weeks it’ll be a riot of colour. Can’t wait! Peter

Thanks very much Suzy. Pretty well all of that trail was edged with the yellow of the wattle so it really was pretty as a picture. Peter

Hi di hi and very nice to meet you. Very many thanks for the visit and comment and I am very sorry it’s taken me so long to get back to you – I have been busy getting to know a new computer during the last couple of days. Despite our many differences of opinion I think we are now, finally, on speaking terms! Peter

I hate computers!!! They are very argumentative, if they don’t get their own way they throw a paddy, freeze, shut down, have fatal errors, ignore you and send you silly messages, you have chosen to end a non responsive program, etc etc etc! LOL

LOL – you too eh? Been there, done that by the sound of things!!! Peter
