Where is your kiss I held so dear?
Where are the hugs I cherished and that protected me,
Drawing me closer and closer to ecstacy?
Where is the love that took away every tear?
The hands that always held me near?
Missing you so deeply.
Painfully.
Dreadfully.
In every way.
Everyday.
Where are you? Why aren’t you here?
Holding me close and keeping me near?
My one true love, why did you disappear?
I miss my best friend.
Sorrow is now my best end,
Joy my enemy,
In my heart, you shall ever be.
Did I lose my love? My opportunity?
My heart overwhelmed with pain,
Wondering if I shall see you again,
Every day gets longer and longer,
Every night becomes darker and darker,
My soul now only sings in sorrow,
The music plays melancholy, affliction and woe,
I’ll ever be lonely,
Never to be free,
Of the one true love that became my destiny.
No man can ever reach your perfection,
Or tribute of excellence and adulation,
I shall be in love with you until the day I die,
In my heart, I shall never say goodbye.

Very touching, but I noticed you wrote it in the comfort from the distance of time, where the bad seems not so bad and the good impossibly good. That’s the good thing about memory. A very good poem….good to see you back
Georgette replied
Yes, this is written from years ago. Much time has now passed. Glad you enjoyed the poem.

A beautiful yet, sad outpouring of missing that special one.
Georgette replied
Yes, many of us have lost someone so dear to us, and still feel the loss even years later.

Beautifuly written. Gets to your heart. I still remember my first love, my first crush. I still remember him, we were only 14 but my father found out and he made the guy go away. After that the boy didn’t want anything to do with me. I don’t blame him. But I always wonder what if. Right now it is only a memory. But I still remember his face, everything. And coming to think of it that jerk never gave me a kiss, didn’t even hold my hand, for as he told his friend that if I really loved him, I should have made the first move. lol
Georgette replied
Well, we know how it is when we first experience our first love, first crush. We will always hold dear that memory. (Laughing) Years later we will remember, also, why they became a memory instead of someone we can still share our life with in the present, just as you said, he never gave you a kiss and made the first move.

Oh this grabbed me ….your words deeply penned in the ache of the sorrow of missing someone that meant so much to our heart.. It is a mourning verse I read here and feel quite sad with you….X
