Ancient and Modern
Ancient My belief of what this time of year is all about: Jesus and Children. Took this Stained Glass Window At St Mary’s Church Burnham Market, a village close to the North Norfolk coast, and also close to Lord Nelson’s birthplace at nearby Burnham Thorpe.
Modern it is so sad that we have to protect these beautiful windows with metal grilles to protect them from vandalism.
This is dedicated to Cynthia who is not feeling too good at the moment about Christmas.

you are so right this time of year is completely losing the reason! We are not stressing about christmas anymore – vive le france!! They just don’t do christmas like us brits do imho! Shops are open on Sundays again this year though this sunday and next sunday and then that’s it!! I lvoe christmas for time with our families and seeing our friends :))

Thank you Pam for you comments, the shops here never seem to close, they are slashing prices because people aren’t buying, and Woolies has gone bust. Not very happy times!!

wonderful capture George of this glorious window., and I do so agree, people seem to have forgotten where the Christ…mas came from originally. I know it is the pagan festival of Saturnious, but the Romans were cute and gave us this time for Christmas, and May day was the Beltane fires. haha. One way to get us to toe the line haha. This is a beautiful window, and I think with vandals it is a case of forgive them their sins they know not what they do. love and hugsxxx
