Australian Fringed Lilies: Thysanotus tuberosusby George Petrovsky
This group of Australian Fringed Lilies was found growing on the fringe of the bush, only a few minutes walk from my humble abode at Thirlmere, on the fringes of the Southern Highlands of NSW.
Nikon D80, Nikkor 18-200 VR lens @ 112mm, Custom Program, 1/320 sec @ f 5.6, Pattern metering, Auto exposure and WB. Cropped in PS Elements 3.
Lovely colour, great composition and depth of field George.
Thanks for adding these delicate little beauties to your favourites, Tony. As you know, 3D flowers are tricky to capture whole in any detail, so I’m glad you like this result. :)george
Wow George this is so pretty!!, I don’t think I have ever seen lillies like this, fantastic colour and clarity!!
Thanks for visiting and favouriting these little flowers – much appreciated! In season, they bloom in the bush all around where I live. So glad you like them! :)george
Debbie, your visit and favouriting these delicate little flowers are much appreciated. I’m so lucky to have them within a few minutes walk of where I live. :)george
Fabulous image George, worth of inclusion in any book on native plants! Instant Fav!
Thanks Enivea! Now and then I manage to make a find and get in a reasonable shot. Lucky it was a still day, as the wind usually comes up whenever I go looking for flowers! Thanks also for adding this to your favourites – always muchly appreciated! :)george
