Once again, something a bit different!
Another page taken from my Photobook. This picture was taken on a back road through the Macquarie Marshes, near Quambone, NSW. Would you believe this was taken about 35 years ago, when I was myself a young bureaucrat and representing the Assistance for Isolated Children Scheme on a trip to outback areas? Even back then, I always took my camera with me. Just in case. A Pentax Spotmatic, with just a prime f1.4 lens. Scanned from an Ektachrome slide and processed in Photoshop Elements 3.
Sometimes, pictures will inspire me to use Haiku. This is a Japanese verse form, consisting of 3 lines containing 5, 7 and 5 syllables. Great for being able concentrate one’s thoughts and get to the heart of the matter – instead of just waffling on, as I am wont to do.
