Brass & Blues by George Petrovsky

Brass & Blues by

This young musician could be playing the Blues – or the accompaniment to Greigs’ “Night on the Bald Mountain.” Taken during a recent recital by the Hills Music Academy, during Hertiage celebrations at Castle Hill (NW of Sydney, NSW Australia).

TechnoStuff: Nikon D80, Nikkor 18-200VR lens, hand held @ 70mm. Shutter priority, 1/125 @ f16, ISO 200, Pattern metering, Auto Exp & WB. Then a bit of playing around in PSE 3, as is my wont.

About George Petrovsky

An old photographer and his dog trying to come to grips with what turns an ordinary photograph into a worthwhile picture. (For whom?) Perhaps strive to take a worthwhile photograph in the first place? The digital darkroom is a creative, fascinating place. Now, if only I could learn to use it and the cameras I have properly……

Now, you know all my stuff is Copyright. If you try and pinch any of it, I’ll jump through your screen and rip your bloody arms off!
