The West Coast has a reputation for doing some things differently, not the least of which is this evergreen on Whiffen Spit, a long narrow spit of land which extends out from the mainland in the community of Sooke, on Vancouver Island, British Columbia, Canada. At Christmas time, the tree becomes decorated with all sorts of “ornaments”, ranging from toys, old CD’s, some actual Christmas bulbs and garlands, ribbons and whatever whimsical items are contributed. Jann was adding her personal touch to the trimmings.
So Have a Merry Christmas from us both!

Goodonya George and a very Merry Christmas to you and Jann. But mate, I’ve missed seeing your smiling face around the Bubble this year and do hope all is well. I’ve finally moved out of my house and into an Aged Care facility where, I have to admit, I am spoilt rotten!! Sadly my beloved Betty passed away at the end of October, just a few days before our 56th wedding anniversary. I am still battling to come to terms with that and have a feeling it will take a long time – but you will know all about that.
My best wishes to you and a hug for Jann
