The Sunken Garden is one of the theme areas within the Butchart Gardens in Victoria, Vancouver Island, British Columbia, Canada, A National Historic Site of Canada, the Gardens have been attracting millions of annual visitors since 1904. They were created from a worked-out limestone quarry by an amazing lady named Jenny Butchart and have been tended and expanded by her descendents over the years.
