Entering Harbour at St. Pierre and Miquelon by

Off the south coast of Newfoundland, Canada, there’s a little group of islands which are a full-fledged Department of France, and have been for hundreds of years. Visiting the islands of St. Pierre and Miquelon is like being in a coastal village in France itself. This shot was taken in the summer of 1966 when I visited the islands via a coastal steamer from the town of Fortune, Newfoundland.

The camera was an Exakta 35mm. SLR, 50 mm. Biotar lens, Ektachrome film. The slide was scanned in 2004 with a Canon 4000 dpi scanner.
