Description:

H.M.S.Bounty 1960-2012 Lost at sea during Hurricane Sandy, Oct. 29, 2012 Bounty was an exact replica of the famous ship of Captain Bligh and the mutineers, and was built at shipyards in Lunenburg, Nova Scotia, Canada. Launched in 1960, she was featured in numerous movies including Mutiny on the Bounty, Treasure Island, and two “Pirates of the Caribbean” films with Johnny Depp. She also participated in various excursions and Tall Ship festivals. In this shot, she was dockside at Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada during the Tall Ships Festival of July, 2007. She was characterized as a Full-Rigged ship.LOA 180 Ft.She had just participated in another Tall Ships Festival In Halifax, in July 2012. As of this writing, one crew member perished, the Captain is missing and presumed lost, and all other crew members were safely rescued by the United States Coast Guard.
