A survey camp on the shores of the Arctic Ocean in August, 1955. The site was near Clinton Point, in the North-West Territories of Canada, and was part of a 7 year long project to map the entire country. Behind the huts, the tundra stretches for hundreds of miles south to the first beginnings of the tree-line

Exakta 35mm. SLR, F2.0 Biotar lens, Ektachrome film, probably 1/50 at F 8.0, a common setting I used during that time of day. (Early evening).
