This is the lighthouse at Race Rocks, a group of rocks and reefs which lie just off the coast of western Vancouver Island, British Columbia, Canada, and is the only rock-built lighthouse in British Columbia. It was first lit December 26, 1860, and has served uninterrupted to today. The area around it is now an Ecological Reserve for B.C.Parks,administered by the Lester B.Pearson College of the Pacific. In the background are the Olympic Mountains in Washington State, across the waters of the Strait of Juan de Fuca.

What a beautiful shot, George, and a most interesting history to go with it! Definitely worth a “view large”!
Thanks Mike..I’ve been all around the rocks in my boat, great fishing out there, and never took a shot..lol! So I had to settle for this one from a headland on the coast. Squeezed the lens to the max..!
