Sulphur Mountain is located in the Bow River Valley ,east of Sundance Creek and west of the Spray River;and north of Vermilion Lakes. It’s the eastern end of Sundance Pass, in Banff National Park, Alberta, Canada. From the town of Banff, one can take a gondola ride to the summit, 2451m (8042ft.) above sea level, for an amazing view of the Bow River Valley and the vast ranges of the Rocky Mountains which surround it on all sides. The Park is home to a wide variety of wildlife, both winged and four-footed. Sometimes, all goes perfectly well, a majestic bald eagle will drop around to survey his domain.

What a beauty, George! This is an amazing capture – absolutely marvellous, my friend!
Many thanks Mike, I’m hunting around for some of my “right place, right time” shots..lol! There’s not that many, so I have to chase them down. Glad you liked it!
Man; this shot just pops when you look at the large view ! Nice shot, George. :)
Many thanks Stan, much appreciated! Jann and I tried to get up that mountain for 3 years and the weather was always poor when we were in the area. Finally got a beautiful run of days this June and tried to cram in as much as we could. This was one of the priorities that worked!
