We were both hungry, so Jann checked the menu while I did the shoot! On the patio of the Juniper Hotel on the lower slopes of Mount Norquay in Banff National Park, Alberta, Canada. In the background is the towering bulk of Mt. Rundle, an icon of the Park, and farther on are more ranges of the Rocky Mountains.

  • Hi Gail, so nice to see you. I’ve been pretty slack on here for awhile, trying to capture some summer..lol!
Many thanks for the lovely comment, I’m lucky to have a model tagging along when I want to get a shot like this..lol!

Fantasic capture and of course a wonderful setting. Very pretty image of Jann here.

  • Many thanks Sean, it was a bit of luck..I caught sight of the Juniper when we were coming down Norquay, and made a snap decision to try for lunch. It’s a very nice place and that patio offers the most sweeping views of the whole area.

    wow George this is splendiferous!
You take such beautiful shots of our dear Jann. What a scene though, can’t wait for next year :-)

  • Hi Vicki, thanks for such lovely comments my friend. That patio was a nice setting and Jann was quite absorbed in the menu, so things worked out quite well..lol!

A great capture George with the beautiful mountain setting. Hope the menu was as good as the setting! A fave of course! :>)) Leslie

  • Hi Leslie, really appreciate your compliment! And yes, the menu was very good. A really nice place, wonderful views, and high enough up that it’s very quiet. Nice place to stop and relax for awhile. Thanks also for the fave!
