The title popped in my head as soon as I saw the scene..the sharp spear-like pinnacle of rock rising from the valley floor, and the overpowering wall of mountains rising in the background. High winds on the top blowing off plumes of snow,providing almost a 3-D setting for the lower peaks and ridges.
One of innumerable ridges of the Rocky Mountains,taken in Kananaksis Country, southern Alberta, Canada, in what I believe was Spray Lake Provincial Park, though it was hard to know where one park merged into another.

Hi Leslie, I’m so glad you liked it and thanks very much for the kind comments and the fave. This was the day Jann and I took off around the Spray Lake road, most of it was really winter landscape, mist,rain, wind, even a flake of two of snow, but when we got on the eastern slope of the mountains we found some patches of breaking sunshine. Not much, but helped out a little on this one..lol!
