I was waiting for the “right moment” to make this shot when this little seabird popped up from the
pile of gravel and rocks and waved a cheery hello! Actually he was probably just stretching his wings, but we can always imagine, can’t we? In any case, I thought it made the photo!

Taken at the beach at Botany Bay, a secluded headland near Port Renfrew, on the outer (Pacific Ocean) coast of Vancouver Island, British Columbia, Canada.
