Artist's Description

Capstick is a tiny hamlet on the northern tip of Cape Breton Island, Nova Scotia, Canada. Consisting of only a few country homes along the rugged Atlantic Ocean coastline, it can be reached by taking a small side road off the Cabot Trail, the scenic route which encircles the northern part of Cape Breton and contains Cape Breton Highlands National park. In the Fall, the surrounding forest becomes a blaze of colour as the hardwood trees burst into their autumn display.
