The Prince of Wales Hotel in Waterton Lakes National Park, Alberta, Canada. There’s mountains behind it, but a wall of black clouds and rain swept down off the slopes and wiped everything out. The sunlight was still bathing the old classic hotel just long enough to get a few shots and then everything was very dark and very wet. Built in 1927 by the Great Northern Railway, it is a National Historic Site of Canada, one of the largest all-wood buildings in Alberta, and known throughout the world by photograph alone.
